Springfield - Gertrude H. Taege, 87 of Springfield, IL formerly of Girard, IL passed away Thursday Jan. 24, 2013 at Capitol Care Center, Springfield, IL.
Gertrude was born Sept. 10, 1925 in Bonfield, IL a daughter of Rev. Oswald and Emma (Schumacker) Taege. Gertrude was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Springfield, IL.
Surviving Gertrude is her sister, Lorraine R. Johnson of Marango, IL and several nieces and nephews. Preceding Gertrude in death was her parents and brothers Richard and Ralph and Ralph Taege.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Tuesday Jan. 29, 2013 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Springfield, IL with funeral services at 11 a.m. at the church. Private burial will be Wed. Jan. 30, 2013 in Memory Gardens Cemetery, Arlington Heights, IL. Memorial may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, Springfield, IL. Calvert & Ferry Funeral Home, Auburn, IL in charge of arrangements.
