Nickie Maynerich

Virden-Nickie Maynerich, 61, of Virden, IL passed away at 11:56 P.M. Saturday December 8, 2012 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Nickie was born October 20, 1951 in Springfield, IL a daughter to John E. and Wanda (Peterson) Hein.  She was a graduate of Virden High School, class of 1969.  She obtained her Associates Degree from Lincolnland C.C. in Springfield, IL.  Nickie later married Frank Maynerich, Jr. on Aug. 18, 1973 in Virden, IL, he survives.  Nickie was a member of Sacred Heart Church, Virden, IL.

Surviving Nickie are her husband, Deacon Frank Maynerich, Jr. mother, Wanda Hein of Virden, IL; sons, Mark J. (Laci) Maynerich and John M. (Margo) Maynerich both of Springfield, IL, Luke N. Maynerich of Chatham, IL, Matthew A. (Amanda) Maynerich, Paul J. Maynerich both of Virden, IL; daughters, Sarah N. (Lucas) Pierce and Rachel A. ( Matthieu Sexton) Maynerich both of Virden, IL; sisters, Shelley (Jim) Marsaglia of Girard, IL, Kris (Tom) Cervellone of Springfield, IL, Gretchen Henry of Milwaukee, WI; 8 grandchildren and several nieces & nephews.  Preceding Nickie in death is her father, John E. Hein.

Visitation will be from 4:00 – 8:00 P.M. Tuesday December 11, 2012 at Sacred Heart Church in Virden, IL with prayer service at 4:00 P.M. and visitation one hour prior to the Funeral Mass which will be at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday December 12, 2012 at St. Joseph The Worker  in Chatham with Rev. George Morelock, Rev. Chris House and Rev. John Nolan officiating. Music Director will be Mr. John Kennedy & The Resurrection Choir.  Pallbearers:  Jim Marsaglia, Tom Cervellone, Matthieu Sexton, Joseph Maynerich, George Maynerich & Gregory Maynerich.  Memorials may be made to Sacred Heart Church, Virden, IL or to St. Joseph The Worker Parish in Chatham, IL.  Interment will be in Virden Cemetery.  To leave a comment for the family please visit:  www.calvert-ferryfuneralhomes.com

    Frank and all of yours and Nicki’s children I am so sorry for your loss of your best friend , wife and mother of your children . My heart is heavy hearing about the passing of such a wonderful woman, mother and your best friend . I remember as a young man when you and Nicki were married and I always loved how you two seemed so in love and loved your family . She was a wonderful woman Frank may you find peace in your heart knowing Nicki was loved by so many in her family and in her community . I pray god will give you and your family the strength to handle this tragic loss again I am so sorry to hear of the loss of your best friend . Take care and god bless

    I am so sorry for your loss. I was surprised when Fr John told us Nickie Maynerich had passed away at the end of Mass. Deacon Frank Maynerich presided at my husband’s internment and I am forever greatful. You understand the words that I cannot express right now. May Nickie rest in peace ~ Amen

    Frank and Family: You all have been in my thoughts and prayers these past weeks. I will miss Nickie. She was such a happy person and had the best laugh! I have fond memories of visiting Virden as a teenager and hanging out with my cousins. Nickie leaves a great legacy of love through all the children and grand children.
